Recently, I talked with Instagrammer sovbean on how to keep a consistent Instagram theme. Sovbean is known for her themed Instagram with over thirty-four thousand followers on her non-stop growing account! I knew that if I wanted to master keeping a theme on my account, I had to talk to a professional.

One of the first tips (and probably the most important) is to plan ahead! I know, I know who has time for that? Also, it seems unbearable to have to go through every single photo, post it really fast on Instagram, see if it looks good, and then delete it before anyone sees that you posted anything. But, once your account starts growing, it's not so easy to hide the fact that your posting and deleting over, and over again to get that perfect theme. So, I suggest the Color Story app, or at least an app like it (not sponsored)! I don't even use the editing or filter feature on it, I have VSCO and HUJI for that, but I love the grid planning feature. It allows you to see what photos would look on your account before you post them.
For some inspiration you can check out celestialyouth and seoulattae who both have great themes and some very artsy pictures. Something to notice, and definitely try for yourself, is that seoulattae breaks up her themes. When it's time for a change in a theme, she uses three blank photos to separate the different themes. I tried doing this with quotes, but I didn't have a taste for it and it just looked kind of crappy on my account. So, I suggest using blank white photos and not being too creative with it. Sometimes simple is better.
My final conclusion is that keeping a theme is extremely difficult, and I don't seem to have an eye for it. I will keep trying through, and hopefully with these tips you will as well. Many thanks to the pro, sovbean, thanks for the help!
